See you in 2025

Not exactly a 9 to 5 Monday to Friday

It’s the final Monday of the Transat Paprec race to Saint Barths. By Friday morning we should know the podium at least. There are less than 800 miles to the finish line off Gustavia and there is still less than four miles between the top four, and there has been a small gain to fourth placed Guillaume Pirouelle and Sophie Faguet (Région Normandie) who are in touch at 27 miles behind the leaders.

Still in pole position are Loïs Berrehar and Charlotte Yven on Skipper MACIF, closely followed by Corentin Horeau - Pauline Courtois on Mutuelle Bleue at 2.8 miles behind the leaders and Gaston Morvan - Anne-Claire Le Berre are 9 miles behind in third.  Speeds are very similar and the use of the squalls is important. Some have shown very fast phases: Région Bretagne – CMB Océane (Chloé Le Bars and Hugo Dhallenne) showed 13 knots when the rest of the fleet was at 8.9 knots. But correspondingly others can be stalled by "bad clouds" and light winds. So this is going to be a short working week with little time to rest.
