Ifremer

Ifremer is the only French research organization entirely dedicated to the ocean. Present on all the maritime coasts of France and overseas territories, its laboratories are located at some twenty sites in the three major oceans: the Indian Ocean, the Atlantic, and the Pacific.
Its Brest Plouzané location is the largest in size and staff (more than 900 people), with the headquarters of the institute and the French Oceanographic Fleet.
