French Republic - Collectivity of Saint-Barthélemy

The 17th edition of the Paprec transatlantic race starting from Concarneau is generating unprecedented anticipation and enthusiasm this year.
Saint-Barthélemy is preparing to welcome a fleet of sailors, men and women, who will wage battle in the Atlantic with the support of the entire population of the island.
And what could be more unifying than the participation of our local flagship, Cindy BRIN, who will proudly carry the community's colors on her boat, "Cap Saint-Barth."
Cindy will benefit from the fervor of her fans, starting with the budding sailors of the Saint-Barthélemy sailing club that she runs and who are accumulating good performances both nationally and internationally.
I would also like to pay tribute to the involvement of Paprec and its founding president Jean-Luc PETIT HUGUENIN who have clearly given a second wind to this event, in particular by proposing a mixed transatlantic race and thus encouraging the creation of a pool of female sailors.
Violette DORANGE is one of the competitors who took part in this transatlantic race, before completing the legendary Vendée Globe.
This is all we can wish for the sailors of this new edition, especially Cindy who will always be able to count on the support of the community to go further.
This event is also a fantastic opportunity for partnership with the town of Concarneau, which will once again this year be organizing the start of the transatlantic race.
I will be going there with the teams from the Territorial Tourism Committee and the Sports Department to develop synergies and ensure that the event has national impact.
Each edition is a real challenge, in terms of technological innovations, communication and logistics to guarantee maximum safety for participants.
The communication of the event is also up to par, OC Sport is once again this year fully mobilized for the event, I thank them for their professionalism.
